Old Postcard Images of Cowbridge
Take a trip down memory lane when you look at the old postcard images of Cowbridge on the Francis Frith Website.
I think it’s nice to see how Cowbridge has changed but still retained it’s character.

The Vale Youth
Funky Dragon - the Children and Young People’s Assembly for Wales - is a peer-led organisation. Their aim is to give 0 – 25 year olds the opportunity to get their voices heard on issues that affect them. The opportunity to participate and be listened to is a fundamental right under the United Nations Convention Rights of the Child. Funky Dragon will try to represent as wide a range as possible and work with decision-makers to achieve change.
Funky Dragon’s main tasks are to make sure that the views of children and young people are heard, particularly by the Welsh Assembly Government, and to support participation in decision-making at national level.
This website is dedicated to the news, information, events and anything else going on in Vale of Glamorgan Youth Forum.
Famous people of Cowbridge
This website shows the famous people who attended Cowbridge Grammar School from 1604 including Sir Anthony Hopkins. Evan Seys and Sir Leoline are mentioned which clarifies to me where the closes in Geraint’s Way derived their names.
“Over the centuries Cowbridge school has produced many famous men. Many have reached prominance in Politics, Academia, Journalism, Acting or Sport”.

Derek Brockway - Whatever the Weather
Derek Brockway will be signing copies of his new book Whatever the Weather in his hometown from 3-4pm on Saturday 15th December 2007 at the County Library, Barry. Â

This is Derek Brockway’s confession: he is obsessed with the weather, and has been for most of his life. He is not unlike thousands of the television viewers who watch his daily forecasts without fail, of course, but his passion goes much further than curiosity about tomorrow’s sun and rain. He loves metereology itself; he loves to watch the skies, to read the cloud patterns and record the temperature; he loves to measure rainfall and count the hours of sunshine. Anyone who has seen him present a weather report will know that Derek is in his element with the charts and weather symbols, especially when extreme weather is on the way.
Read about Derek Brockway on the BBC website.
