Cowbridge Parking Problems

Cowbridge parking problems aired in the big area debate.

The recent Cowbridge “State of the Area” debate gave residents a chance to air their concerns over parking issues in the town.

The debate was dominated by the campaign to build a new comprehensive school in the town, but there was still plenty to be said about parking.

It was alleged that the main cause was people who commuted into Cardiff, either taking the bus or car sharing, and the panel agreed that it had been a problem for some time.

It was aid that car parking charges might just move the problem to local side streets. There is also the issue of trying to find a balance, because people who work in the shops need somewhere to park.

It was said that the solution to all the problems outlined lay in making more parking available at the cattle market site.
